# Choosing Your Equipment

Equipment in Warped Universe will be central to shaping your gameplay experience. It offers flexibility and customization to suit your unique playstyle, achieve specific objectives, and to stand out from the crowd.

Equipment is earned through gameplay by acquiring **Artifractal Cores**, rewarding player progression and ensuring a fair and balanced ecosystem. For more details on obtaining and customizing equipment, refer to the **Mission Rewards and Player Progression** section.

### **Categories and Classifications**

Equipment is organized into broad categories, each containing specific classifications that define its role and functionality. For example:

Weapons:

* Heavy rifle
* Pistol
* Sniper rifle
* Shotgun
* Grenade launcher
* Close combat weapons

Armor:

* Heavy armor
* Light armor

Ships:

* Wings
* Body
* Tail

***Disclaimer: The items in this example are for illustrative purposes only and do not represent finalized game specifications.***

### **Base Equipment and Customization**

Each classification starts with a single base-level piece of equipment, designed to evolve as players progress. This design allows for extensive customization and personalization, empowering players to adapt their gear to suit their playstyle, enhance performance, and express their individuality.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wp.warped.games/gameplay/choosing-your-equipment.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
